As you know, nutrition is hugely important in anyones life, let alone someone living with HIV. Over the past few days, working with a mobile clinic in Hawane, Swaziland we've been able to deliver 400x 500g packs of a high nutrient porridge type food called epap.

Each pack contains 10 servings / 10 days worth of nutrients and works out at about 15c a day. The clinic distributes this to patients in need when they visit the towns and villages. It is not a straight up food replacement but its an effective way to supply the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of essential Macro/Micro and trace nutrients – Important nutrients such as iron, zinc, iodine and vitamin A are all delivered at 100% of the RDA . Where people eat an unbalanced diet of refined cereal this is especially important.

Our initial drop will provide 4000 days of much needed nutrients to people who need it most. If this is a success we will roll it out further.
