Thursdays clinic at Lavumisa, south Swaziland. The people of Lavumisa are some of the nicest people I’ve met so far on this trip. Everyone is so friendly and always take time to chat. They live in the harshest conditions I’ve ever seen. The rivers are super low or non existent with the temperature on Thursday hitting 43 degrees, making it so tough to grow crops. Dead cattle on the roads seemed common place and the livestock we did see looking for food were scarily thin. It cant be an easy place to live yet everyone greeted us with a smile. I’m so very fond of this community and its people.
On top of administering medical support to 40-50 people on Thursday, the clinic also had two people attend for HIV testing, both negative.
The nurses who man these mobile clinics do the most wonderful job. They are a true inspiration
