Today I traveled to the remote community of Zamani with the mobile clinic. The health department set up in one of the classrooms of a local school while the HIV testing unit set up in the back of the 4x4.
The statistics show that 27.7% of Swazi people are living with HIV or AIDS, but as I found out, this figure is based only on the people visiting the bigger city hospitals and clinics. The reality is that this figure is much higher in rural communities.
